When Family Comes To Visit

A recent Florida visit from our Daughter Casey

Making the transition to full time RV living means that selling, giving away or disposing the majority of one’s material possessions must come first but perhaps the biggest sacrifice one makes is to be physically distanced from family. On the plus side when we are “home” we can camp in a place that makes it easy to spend time together. And when we are gone we do have video chats to bridge the gap but it doesn’t satisfy that longing for in person reunions.

After almost two years of nomadic life we are finding that we cherish the times when family can come to visit with us wherever we might be. It gives us a chance to play host and share our adventures with them in person and it gives them a better chance to see why we have chosen this crazy lifestyle, at least ’Til Further Notice.
